Innovative development merges senior independent living, merchant housing, and eco-friendly design along Honey Creek.
PINCKNEY, MI — Pinckney Commonwealth Campus today announced plans for its new residential campus, an innovative, multi-use community designed to bring sustainable living, commercial vitality, and multi-generational housing to the local area.
Designed around accessibility, community connection, and environmental integration, the Pinckney Commonwealth campus will feature three distinct housing models paired with shared amenities and green spaces:
- The Royal Manor: Situated conveniently close to the main road for easy access and transportation, this dedicated senior independent living facility will feature 24 modern one-bedroom units tailored for comfortable, accessible living.
- 12 Merchant houses: Combining local commerce with residential units, these three-story shop houses will feature ground-floor retail spaces topped by two levels of private living quarters—offering an ideal setup for local business owners and live-work residents.
- Honey Creek Overlook Residences: Capitalizing on the natural environment, four spacious residential units designed for up to 16 individuals will feature prime Southern exposure, offering panoramic views of the adjacent Honey Creek stream.
Every structure across the campus will incorporate solar energy infrastructure to reduce carbon footprints and ensure long-term energy efficiency.
To foster strong neighborhood connections, the development centers around a common clubhouse for social events and gatherings, alongside a landscaped public park area designed to preserve open green space and connect residents with nature.
